Mum needed a plumber for a leak under the sink. I was referred to Parez and her team by a neighbour. I was delighted with Parez's warm & professional approach. She arranged an appt promptly and promised to fit Mum in sooner where there was a cancellation. Noor, the plumber that attended, made good the leak and undertook further repairs to ensure the longevity of the pipework. Mum is a pensioner and can get anxious about these kind of appointments. However Mum was delighted that Noor was so patient in explaining his repairs. Noor put Mum at ease with his friendly manner. In an age where people are quick to criticize and slow to compliment. The upper street handyman guys are exceptional builders. Professional, responsive and they do excellent work. It was our first time having major works done and they were flawless from start to finish. They replastered some damp damage, repaired and resurfaced three roofs and resurfaced and repainted the outside of a bay window, and we have been thrilled with all of the works done. Whats more, even when the works that needed to be done changed upon closer inspection the team were able to get additional scaffolding sorted quickly (up and down within a week) and still stay within their initial quotation. They are so fantastically user-friendly that I am already considering what else I could have them do. Special shout-out to Parez in the team for making everything flow so smoothly. ~ James P

Having employed Upper Street Handyman for several smaller jobs, they were our first choice to work with to have our two bathrooms completely renovated. After several disappointing and overpriced experiences with Pimlico Plumbers I finally found a company that is equally versatile, comprehensive but with an extra touch of experience and care that you just don't get with equivalent existing companies. I had a leak issue fix in one hour and the plumber was honest, fast and precise. They also repaired an open section of ceiling which was dangerously exposed to a pipe and used a very specific screw hang system that no one would ever have ordinarily suggested and I, with my own experience in renovation and builds wouldn't have thought of. The people who run this company and their workers are a breath of fresh air for anyone like me who has PTSD from working with tradesman. ~ Saam

The work just done was for extra electric sockets upstairs. Two were placed next to existing one's, which were updated. The third socket was more complicated as it needed wiring to come through a wall and trunking. The work was done by Sam and Rebaz,.They arrived when they said they would, bought all they needed with them, including large dustsheets, worked through without a break, finished in good time and cleared up after themselves. The work is excellent. Sam , the electrician, is neat and tidy.. My wife and I are very happy and will use the Handyman service again. Very reliable and attentive team of handymen. We needed to have a spur socket in our kitchen to be able to install a dishwasher and the electrician was very careful and did a great job with minimal mess. He even vacuumed the floors before leaving! So he was very kind :) Similarly, we had a plumber who changed the clean water valve to fit our new dishwasher and installed it for us with no issues. He had to also do some carpenter work to fit it properly in our cabinet — so overall, he was very talented and did a great job in all aspects. We were very happy in the end with their service and attention to detail. Also, they didn’t surprise us with the final cost and informed us clearly about how much it would cost around in advance. I’ve used Upper Street Contractors multiple times now, and I can’t recommend them enough. They first worked on my garden over a year ago, and I deliberately waited to see how the work would hold up over time. I used the excellent services of Upper Street Handyman again recently.Their plumber replaced a kitchen immersion heater and repaired a leaky toilet overflow: previously, I have used handyman Michael for some very difficult jobs, including replacing some squeaky floorboards and also accessing inside an air vent to fix a repair. They were all the sort of jobs which it is hard to find someone to do, and I have been delighted with the work. They always arrive when I am expecting them, are very helpful, friendly and cheerful, and I will certainly be using Upper Street again. ~ Linda H

Upper Street Handyman did a great job both on my garden and leaky cistern. They are consistently reliable, efficient, skilled, on time and great communicators - with responses to queries coming timely and courteously. They leave everything clean and tidy. I have used them a number of times. Updating, I used them just this past week (Aug 2023) for a tricky electrical job. Upper Street is a fantastic local business with fair prices. They're very easy to contact and very responsive when you do contact them via phone or email. The workmen sent out to our job we're very quick, tidy, and did a great job. They were so quick that after they had completed the jobs I had booked them for they asked if there was anything else they could do for us whilst on site as they were happy to help with anything else within the hour as we would get charged the initial call out anyway. I recently completed on a property only to find out the walls were not in the condition I thought they were in when all the pictures/fixtures from the previous owner had come off. I called USC on the same day and was able to get Yousif to come and consult right away. I received the quote the next day and Ali was very accommodating in terms of customising the quote to match my needs/budget (also got some discount as have used their services in the past :), always great when loyalty is rewarded!). The painting and repair of the walls made the flat look new again and they were able to get it done in just 4 days. I'd also asked them to install a new pair of blinds whose size I unfortunately got wrong the first time around, but they came back and fit the correctly-sized ones for me free of charge later. They're always so responsive via phone and e-mails also. Just moved into a new flat and there were several small issues that I wanted to be worked on. Upper Street Handyman had great customer service and did a great job, no complaints! On one of the things I wanted fixed in our kitchen, the handyman was honest and told me it would be a waste of my money. The two men that came to my flat were very quick at their job and also tidied up once they were done. They were very clear with what they quoted me for the work, and were very reasonable. Peshawa and the team from Upper Street Handyman carried out renovations on my flat including decoration, reglazing, electrics, joinery and removal of a fitted wardrobe. The attention to detail was excellent and the work was completed within the time agreed. I have used the services of Upper Street Handyman many times. The office is very responsive and prompt, and the team members who visit me are also very prompt and very friendly. The quality of the work is usually very good (there was just one exception). However it would be good if USH could offer a more flexible invoicing system. Some jobs take just 5-15 minutes, but I still have to pay for a whole hour's work. This means I am reluctant to ask someone to call for a small job. ~ Gwen J

I have used Upper Street Handyman a few times now for electrical issues and Sam has been excellent. Even though I initially had a slight hiccup with communication about the extent of my wiring problem (leftover from previous contractor!) and how much it would cost to find and fix, they have always been incredibly helpful and willing to work out a solution, and I have been more than happy with the service provided. Upper Street Handyman provide a high-quality service. We hired them to remove wallpaper from our new flat and then prepare the walls for painting. They were responsive and helpful in providing a quote and have done an excellent job. They clearly take pride in their work! The whole team was extremely friendly and respectful. I was very pleased with the service from booking, communication and the work carried out. Hamid was professional, friendly and helpful. He did a fantastic job repairing a hole in a wall and making good. Sameed, the electrician, also did a good job fixing some of my ceiling lights. I would recommend Upper Street Contractors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My central heating broke down over the new year (during the cold snap, of course) There was also a serious gas leak and the (ancient) boiler and many pipes had to be replaced. The Upper Street handyman team dealt with it all efficiently, obviously knew their stuff and inspired confidence. The end result is excellent.
